Mr. Toyin Subair - Group Managing Director

Toyin Subair is seasoned lawyer and entrepreneur with extensive knowledge of and experience in the Nigerian Media and Entertainment Sector. Prior to founding Entertainment Highway Limited, Mr. Subair was the founder and Principal Partner of Abraham and Co., the leading intellectual property, media and entertainment law firm in Nigeria.

At Abraham and Co. Mr. Subair initiated several landmark intellectual property cases on behalf of various companies, including, Nigerian Television Authority, Multichoice, MNET, Disc Broadcasting, Turner Broadcasting Systems, Microsoft, HP etc. & various local film producers, musicians and associations.

In the past few years Mr. Subair has been responsible for various local media and entertainment business initiatives, including NuMetro Home Entertainment and Kola Music Publishing (the Nigerian sub-licensees of EMI and Universal). Mr. Subair obtained his LL.B. from Lagos State University in Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992.

Mr. Olumide Amure - Group Chief Operating Officer

Olumide has several years of experience as a Consultant with Phillips Consulting. In this role, he was responsible for project management, feasibility studies, business plan development, corporate finance, research and financial analysis. He was also a key facilitator in several programs on management development, presentation and communication skills.

Olumide was one of the founding staff of EHL and brought his enterprise development experience to bear in developing various business and tactical plans for its takeoff and subsequent operation whilst also developing its strategic framework. He has at various times managed several departments and units in the company including Business Development, Marketing, Technical, Content and Channels before his current position as COO of Hi Media.

Olumide obtained a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Management and Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University. He has attended various courses and seminars including the Phillips Consulting organized Senior Management Program (SMP) and Corporate Finance Course in WITS Business School, South Africa.

Mr. Benjamin Zidah - Group Head, Operations

Benjamin was Operations Manager, Learning and Development Manager and Branch Manager with Mulitchoice Nigeria. He has over 12 years experience in the PayTV industry.

Mrs. Kemi Fashina - Group Head - Brand & Marketing

Kemi Fashina has 10 years post-graduate experience spanning fields such as Mortgage Banking, Corporate Communications and Brand Management.

A graduate of English Language from the University of Ilorin, Kemi has worked in several organisations notably Insight Communications Limited. While in these organisations, she was actively involved in a number of landmark projects such as the relaunch of Macleans toothpaste and launch of the first ever Sterling Bank theme campaign. 

An astute Professional, Kemi has attended several professional courses and seminars to equip her for her role as the Marketing Manager of Africa’s fastest growing Pay TV company.

Mr. Charles Ebuebu - Group Head, Anti-Piracy Department

Charles is the Head of the Anti-Piracy/Regulatory Unit of HI Media Limited. He was previously the Head of the Litigation Unit in an erstwhile banking institution. Prior to that, he was an Intellectual Property lawyer with Abraham & Co., one of Nigeria's foremost Law Firm in the area of Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Ebuebu has extensive expertise in providing advice in connection with commercial matters, contract negotiations, corporate compliance & regulatory issues, licensing of copyright protected rights and service transactions.

Ms. Pai Gamde - Group Head, Human Resources & Admin

Morayo Bashorun - Group Head, Business Development

Morayo is the Head, Non Subscriber Income in HiTV. She manages the acquisition of all revenue that is not subscriber related which include, Advert placements, Airtime Sales, Sponsorship, SMS interactivity and Barter. She also serves as Project Manager for the company’s Content Production and partnership.

She is a Rutgers University graduate with a Bachelor degree in Political Science and an Associate degree in Humanities and Social Sciences. She served as the President of the Student Government Association and graduated with a 3.4 GPA with awards from the Golden Honor Society and Who’s Who Amongst American Colleges.

After graduation, she worked as a Sales Manager with a Health Insurance Company, HealthNet, for 18months and moved to Nigeria to work as the Total Quality Manager for City Express Bank. After City Express Bank, she decided to work with CMC Connect, a top PR firm in Nigeria. Since television has been her long term passion decided to move into work for a content related company.

She therefore moved on to work for Cue Media as Head of Content Development but Cue Media soon disintegrated and she decided to work for HiTV. She has found her niche in HiTV and strongly believes she is doing exactly what she has been called to do.

Mr. Toyin Olagoke - Group Head, Information Technology

Toyin has over ten years working experience in telecommunication industries. He is an ardent professional having worked in both first and second national carriers i.e. NITEL and GLOBACOM with great level of success from his contributions.  He possesses both his first and second degree in Computer Science and has passion to deliver solutions to any problems, having wealth of experience in Information and Communication industries. 

Mrs. Taiwo Aliu - Group Head, Legal

Taiwo is the Head of the Legal department in Hi Media Limited. She started her career in the law firm of GEORGE IKOLI & OKAGBUE.  She was a senior associate and Head of the Intellectual Property (IP) department. In her role, She was responsible for the growth of the department and managed the firm’s IP portfolio, advised local and foreign clients on matters of trademark, copyright, patent and design.
Taiwo also worked on various commercial transactions and was particularly active in area of mergers and acquisitions during the 2005 and 2006 consolidation of financial institutions where the firm acted as solicitors and due diligence advisers to some of those institutions.
She obtained her Law degree from the University of Kent at Canterbury UK with  a Second Class Upper division, gained a Masters Degree in International Law from the University of Warwick, UK before she was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003.
Taiwo is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association - Section on Business Law, International Trademark Association, U.S.A where she served on two committees, The Young Practitioner’s Committee and The Information Resources Committee respectively. She is also a Member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Nigeria.
Taiwo remains active in the field of IP and Corporate Commercial Law through participation in relevant workshops and conferences.

Mr. Edmund Olotu - Head of Strategy and International Business Development

Edmund is the Head of strategy and international business development at HIMEDIA. Prior to joining HIMEDIA, Edmund was a co-founder and Director of Business Development for Molecmo Therapeutics (now NOVIRA) in the USA. A company that was previously a finalist in three of the largest global business plan competitions. As co-Founder in charge of business development,  he raised over $2Million dollars in venture financing and grants for the company. In 2008 he won the Bill Gates Grant for Global health for the advancement of a novel HIV drug therapy.

Edmund also worked as a business development consultant in Saudi Arabia for Decorate Al-Youseif Inc., a leading building materials retailer. Edmund has a penchant for business development for technology based firms having written over 25 strategic business plans for Openlink Software, Annabogle Inc., Warcoffers capital and Boston Private Financial Holdings.

Edmund holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester school of Engineering; M.Sc. in Science and Technology Entrepreneurship with a Distinction from the University of Nottingham Business School, and a M.A in Management (Finance Concentration) from Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Science.

Mr. Peter Olakunle - Group Head, Broadcast Services

Peter Olakunle is the Group Head, Broadcast Services of Hi Media Group. A graduate of Electrical/Electronics Engineering with more than 10 years experience in Cable, Terrestrial and Satellite Broadcasting. From a multi-channel platform background, he has successfully effected encryption system migration from Zenith to Eastern, channel addition and platform programming and installation of TVRO systems in more than 14 NTA stations across the country. Peter loves getting things done through critical examinations before final decision.

Mr. Adedayo Mustapha - Finance Manager

Adedayo previously worked with CAMAC Group, Nigeria and Celtel Nigeria Limited as a Senior Accountant. Dayo has seasoned experience in Financial Accounting, Auditing, and Tax Administration. He holds a Bsc in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University and is also an Associate member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
